Introduction
The Kontent.ai connector from Locale helps automate your translation workflow. By installing and using the Kontent.ai connector, you’ll reduce the amount of manual project management and verification of tasks between your Kontent.ai data source, and your TMS, TBMS, or LSP. Text-related content from your content models such as articles and pages can easily and quickly be sent for translation through the Locale platform for fast access to localization and internationalization content.
What you’ll need to get started
The Login link for Locale (https://app.locale.to/en/)
The login link for your Kontent.ai instance.
Note: This is provided to you by your Kontent.ai account manager, support team, or contact person. If you are unsure of this information, please contact your system administrator or your Kontent.ai representative.
User login information for both your Locale instance, and your Kontent.ai instance
A trial account of Locale can also be taken for free by going to locale.to and selecting the “Get Started” button
Configuring the Kontent.ai Connector
Start by accessing and logging into Locale with your username and password.
Once logged into Locale (instructions on that can be found here) we’re greeted with our Dashboard, which looks something like this image below.
Next, select the “Add Project” button from the dashboard. This will populate a list of connectors which can be uses for our project. From this list, start by selecting the CMS filter on the left side, and choosing “Create Project” under Kontent.ai.
Next, the connector will require the Kontent.ai API key, and environment ID. This information can be found in your Kontent.ai instance.
To access the Kontent.ai API key:
From the dashboard, select the gear icon on your project which requires translation, and access the project settings menu
Navigate to the API Keys menu on the left side of the screen, and select the personal key under the Management API Keys tab.
Copy the General API key information here, and past it into your Locale instance
To access the Kontent.ai Environment ID:
From the dashboard, open the project which requires translation
and choose Environment Settings from the menu on the left, and General under environmental settings. From here, the Environment ID can be copied and pasted into Locale.
Select next to continue with the process of Creating a Kontent.ai project in Locale
