Introduction

Contentful is a leading content management platform that empowers businesses to create, manage, and deliver digital content across a variety of channels and devices. Known for its flexibility and scalability, Contentful enables organizations to streamline their content creation and delivery processes, supporting websites, mobile apps, and other digital experiences. When combined with Locale, you easily have access to an automated way of selecting content to be translated by your favorite MT engine, TMS system, or sent to your LSP of choice, all with just a few clicks.

What you’ll need to get started

  1. The admin login information for your Contentful instance.

    1. Note: If you do not possess the correct credentials to access this information, please contact your system administrator or your Contentful representative. Locale does not have access to this nor do we provide this information.

Adding Target Languages to Contentful

  1. Start by accessing your Contentful instance with your username and password

  2. Select the Settings menu in the top right of the screen, and go to Locales.

  3. Here you can add multiple locales to your Contentful instance using the Add locale button.

  4. Locales in this case enable you to publish content in multiple languages. If they are not properly configured, Locale will not be able to place your translated content back into your Contentful instance.

  5. Save your changes in the top right corner, and repeat for any additional locales you need in your Contentful instance.

  6. These languages will automatically be detected by the Locale platform and processed by the Lang Connector app.
