What you’ll need to get started
The Login link for Locale (https://app.locale.to/en/)
The admin login information for your Shopify instance.
Note: If you do not possess the correct credentials to access this information, please contact your system administrator or your Shopify representative. Locale does not have access to this nor do we provide this information.
User login information for both your Locale instance, and your Shopify instance
A trial account of Locale can also be taken for free by going to locale.to and selecting the “Get Started” button.
Adding the Shopify Connector in Locale
Start by accessing Locale with your username and password.
Once logged into Locale (instructions on that can be found here) you’ll see a Dashboard which looks something like this image below.
Select the Add Project button and you’ll be presented with the Locale App Store.
Select the e-Commerce option in the menu filter to the left, and select the Connect button under Shopify in the first row.
If you see an option to Create Project it means the Shopify connector has already been added to your Locale instance, and you may proceed as normal to Create a Locale project with the Shopify Connector
Configuring the Shopify Connector in Locale
After accessing the Shopify Connector from the Locale App Store with the steps above, you’ll see a screen which will highlight the connection requirements like the one below
Selecting Connect Shopify will bring you to the download page for the Shopify Connector from the Shopify App Store.
Note: It may also require you to login, in which case you'll see a screen like this
Select Install and follow the steps to enter the Shopify credentials for your Shopify store which requires translation. The credentials page will look something like this:
Entering your credentials, or choosing the account which you’d like to connect will finalize the process, and you will see a screen which authenticates the connection between your Locale and Shopify instances
Now you’re ready to Create a Locale project with the Shopify Connector!
