Introduction

The Storyblok connector from Locale allows you to quickly and easily translate content from your Storyblok instance for fast, reliable, and consistent translations across the locales your audience requires. The process of automating your content for translation can easily conform to nearly any pre-existing workflow your site content requires. These can include translation management systems (TMS), translation agency contacts (LPSs) or even machine translation engines(MT). Our goal with this connector is to aid in enabling lightening fast translations for your projects with the dedicated resources you trust most.

What you’ll need to get started

  1. The Login link for Locale (https://app.locale.to/en/)

  2. The login link for your Storyblok instance.

    1. Note: This is provided to you by your Storyblok account manager, support team, or contact person. If you are unsure of this information, please contact your system administrator or your Storyblok representative.

  3. User login information for both your Locale instance, and your Storyblok instance

    1. A trial account of Locale can also be taken for free by going to locale.to and selecting the “Get Started” button

Configuring the Storyblok Connector

  1. Start by accessing Locale with your username and password.

  2. Once logged into Locale (instructions on that can be found here) you’re greeted with the Locale Dashboard, which looks something like this image below

  3. Next select the “Add Project” button, and using the category filters on the left side of the screen, choose the CMS option, and navigate to the Storyblok connector from the connector list.

  4. After selecting “Create Project” a screen will appear in Locale which will ask for 2 pieces of information: a Management API Token and a Space ID.

    1. Note: The tool tip next to each of these requirements will show you where this information can be found in your Storyblok instance.

    2. Note: Make sure to remove the # from the Space ID number when pasting it into the project settings. Otherwise this may cause an error preventing you from moving to the next step.

  5. And this concludes the configuration process. Selecting Next will begin the process of creating a Locale project connected to your Storyblok instance. More information on this process can be found in our article Creating a Locale project with Storyblok.
