Instructions

A project in Locale can be anything from a web application on GitHub, to an API project, to a connection with your Akeneo PIM instance. Each Locale project processes language-related information specific to the needs of your project such as the source and target language information, Term Bases, and even project templates or MT engines.

From the Locale dashboard, choose the “Add project” button to get started.

A dashboard appears where you can select the type of connector you'd like to use for your project. The list of available connectors and services is changing all the time, so keep an eye on the Connectors list for more information on the latest and greatest connectors available for your projects!

Once you've chosen the Connector for your project, you'll be guided through the process required to configure the initial connection, and then create your first Locale project for translation.

The details required for each connector can vary depending on the actions completed, location of actual source material, and persmissions needed according to the data source provider. In some cases, it may be a simple registraion with OAuth, or in other cases it may be an API key and access URL. In each case, we aim to provide a process which is clear, concise, and consistent as possible so you can spend more time getthing things done, and less time worrying about the setup.

You can also find documentation and demo videos specific to each Connector which will highlight the steps required to configure the connector, and any information you need from your data source system.
